Cellist Madeline Huberth to perform in the YouTube Symphony Orchestra

Central Valley - Madeline Huberth, a 2007 Monroe-Woodbury High School graduate, has been selected as one of ten cellists to perform in the YouTube Symphony Orchestra. In all, 101 musicians from 33 countries will meet in Sydney, Australia, under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas for a week of events culminating in a grand concert at the Sydney Opera House on March 20. The event will be streamed live on YouTube. The YouTube Symphony Orchestra, now in its second year, is assembled by open auditions and is the first-ever online collaborative orchestra. Huberth is presently studying for her bachelor of music in cello performance and her bachelor of science in acoustical physics at the University of Michigan.
