Bruce Springstein rides cycle into Monroe, eats at local restaurant

MONROE-Guess who came to dinner at the Captain's Table in Monroe last Thursday night. The "Boss" n none other than Bruce Springstein -- came to town. Want to know what he ate? "Chicken in the basket," says hostess Kathy Aherne. The Boss rode into Monroe on his bike with a friend. He tried to stay incognito with his hat pulled down. But it didn't work. He asked owner Ray Haffeneger not to say he was there . . . but the employees and customers recognized him. They got out their cell phones and the word was out. Springstein left looking for a local motel to spend the night before heading upstate.
