Booth thanks voters

To the editor: I would like to thank the enrolled Republican voters of Woodbury's 4th District who gave me their vote of confidence to serve as their member of Republican Committee on Primary Day. I am humbled and honored to serve my fellow neighbors, friends and residents as the District 4 representative. I also want to extend my congratulations to the other member for District 4 that was elected, Donald Siebold. I hope that he and I can work together to bring efficient representation to the enrolled Republicans of this district on the town and county committees. I also want to commend my other opponent in the race, Mrs. Susan Vrana. I have known Sue for a good portion of my life, even before both of us called Woodbury home. Sue cares greatly for our town and works hard for it every day in Town Hall. I hope that she will consider running for the committee again. I look forward to pressing for the reforms and changes to the committee that I advocated during the campaign. I believe these are necessary for the committee to operate in a way that serves not the needs of the "political elite" of this community, but the residents the committee is charged with representing. Like all change, the changes I am proposing will not come easily, or without a fight. I will keep you updated as we move forward in the months ahead. I will be changing the focus of my campaign blog located on at electbooth.blogspot.com to be a constituent blog where I will post notes on Republican Committee meetings and where we stand on the path to reform. You are also always free to e-mail your questions and concerns to me at electbooth@optonline.net. Once again thanks to all my friends, neighbors and others who worked on my behalf, and thanks to all those of you who voted for me. Jim Booth Member of Republican Committee Town of Woodbury, District 4
