Bishop Dunn Memorial School honors gifted students
NEWBURGH - Nearly 100 students from around the region were recently honored in the closing ceremonies for the Fall 2005 Academic & Artistic Adventures at Bishop Dunn Memorial School in Newburgh. Academic & Artistic Adventures is a Saturday morning program for gifted and talented children. Participants in the program are top students in Orange, Ulster, Sullivan, and Dutchess counties. Some of the courses offered during the fall session included Recycled Yard Wars; Drawing and Painting; Video Editing; In The Game of Math; Bugs! Can’t Live With Them, Can’t Live Without Them; Order in the Court; CSI Classroom; Young Authors; Guitar Basics; and Chess Experts Challenge. The Winter/Spring 2006 session of Academic & Artistic Adventures will begin Jan. 21. For further information or to receive an application, call 845-569-3306.
