Assemblywoman Calhoun backs Gianzero and Queenan in Woodbury race

To the editor: I am pleased to support Geraldine Gianzero and Michael Queenan in the Sept. 13 Republican Primary for Town Board in the Town of Woodbury. The experience that Geri and Mike bring to this position cannot be underestimated with the challenges that will face this Town Board regarding planning and zoning issues in 2006 and beyond. Geri Gianzero has served on the Town Board with distinction for the past four years and, in supporting rezoning of a major vacant parcel, is making the kind of informed and decisive leadership that this town needs more than ever before. Mike Queenan has dedicated himself to Woodbury, not only as the chairman of the Town Planning Board but as a member of the Town Comprehensive plan Committee and as a coach for St. Patrick's CYO basketball. In discussions with Mike, it is apparent that he will bring common sense and objectivity to the board. This Sept. 13 Republican Primary is the prelude to the Nov. 8 elections where not only the successful Town Board candidates will be on the ballot but the Republican candidate for Orange County Legislature, Ralph Caruso. Ralph's extensive personal and professional knowledge will insure that this district's needs are not only heard but acted upon. As the representative to the 96th New York State Assembly District, I look forward to working with Geri Gianzero, Michael Queenan and Ralph Caruso in maintaining the quality of life this community deserves. Sincerely, Nancy Calhoun Member of Assembly
