Alexa Lanzillotti of Monroe, age 6 and student at Sapphire Elementary School, wanted to donate her hair to help children who were in need of it. Anxious to donate, she and her family visited By George II in Monroe to get her fateful haircut. With a couple of snips, Alexa was able to offer 10 inches of hair to the worthwhile organization. “Her father and I are extremely proud for her desire to help other children as well as the courage it took for her to cut her beloved locks,” wrote her mother, Dawn Lanzillotti, in sending in Alexa’s photo and information about her donation.
