Warwick — Marina Case Alario, principal designer of The Red Shutters in Warwick, a national interior design firm, recently staged a decorating workshop, “Your Home: The Story of Your Life,” at the Tuxedo Club in Tuxedo Park. Alario provided examples showcasing how design can reflect an individual’s life story -- whether displaying artifacts from travels, antiques, furniture pieces or a specific collection built over a lifetime. She also spoke about how this approach inspires discussions among clients and their guests, creating meaningful and memorable connections. During the workshop, Alario encouraged “green decorating” strategies, such as updating good pieces clients may already own that would more accurately tell their personal story and help them stay within budget. The workshop was presented at The Tuxedo Park “Alumni Mothers Luncheon.”
