A vote for Donnery is an educated vote'
To the editor: As an ordinary resident of the Town of Woodbury, and not a member of any political committee or board, I am writing to ask that the voters of the 14th Legislative District in Orange County once again do their homework before the November election. In doing so, I think you will find that the overwhelming choice for our legislator is, and should remain Roxanne Donnery. Having known Roxanne for the past five years, I believe she is a woman of integrity, strength, intelligence compassion and determination. These qualities are evidenced by what she has done for the Town of Woodbury in forcing the legislature to take a stand against the KJ Pipeline, in securing the purchase of open space within the town at a minimal cost to the taxpayer and in demanding that the County Executive bring Woodbury’s inequitable cut of the county sales tax to the negotiation table. Besides the headline accomplishments, Roxanne has been a legislator that has been fully accessible to our board, no matter what political affiliation they may have, working diligently to satisfy the Town’s needs. She has been a source of information and guidance to local business owners facing struggles with the county. She has been a familiar face at our town board meetings, informing our community of county issues and decisions that have effected each and everyone of us. She truly has been a public servant who actually serves the public. As our legislator, Roxanne will continue to be a resounding voice for the towns of Woodbury and Highlands, never running from an issue, and always standing up for her constituency. So on Nov. 8, please remember to vote, and realize that voting is our right, but making an educated vote is our choice. Sandy Capriglione Highland Mills
