A place to sit and think of Sean

Goshen — Friends and relatives recently placed a new bench on the Heritage Trail in the memory of Sean Francis Quirk, who died in August 2004 at the age of 22. Quirk loved to spend time on the trail, where he would walk, run, bring his dog, talk on the phone, or just think. The bench is located between Chester and Goshen directly behind Wick’s Driving Range. Maples’ Farm of Middletown landscaped the area and donated a red bud tree in Quirk’s memory. Quirk was born and raised in Orange County. Just a few months before his death he graduated from Orange County Community College, where he was on the dean’s list. He received his associate’s degree in criminal justice.
