A job fair that embraces diversity
Newburgh The third annual Hudson Valley diversity job fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13, in the Green Room at the Cornerstone, 111 Broadway, Newburgh. The event is sponsored by Independent Living. Employers and job-seekers may participate at no cost. Participating employers are invited to attend a free informational breakfast session from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Last year, more than 340 job-seekers attended, and 35 were employed by participating companies within 30 days. Co-sponsors include the Association for the Visually Impaired, Capabilities Partnership, Inc., Department of Labor/Orange Works, Local Business Advisory Council, Adult Career and Continuing Education Services-Vocational Rehabilitation, Mental Health Association in Orange County, Metro Pool, Safe Harbors of the Hudson, and Orange and Sullivan County Employment Alliance Network.
