32 roads, 1 bridge closed because of flooding

    GOSHEN — Rain combined with melting snow has flooded roads across Orange County, said executive Edward A. Diana on Monday, March 7. The county is under a flood warning. The Wallkill and Ramapo rivers are both running at very high levels. The following roads were closed as of noon on Monday: Blooming Grove: Barnes Road and Tuthill Road Cornwall: Taylor Road Deerpark: Big Pond Road and Academy Avenue Greenville: Minisink Turnpike, Rackett Road and Toad Pasture Hamptonburgh: Twin Arch Road, McBride Lane, and County Route 4 Montgomery: Chandler Road and Canning Road Town of Newburgh: Mount Airy Road, Beattie Road, and Gardnertown Road Wallkill: Midway Park Road Warwick: State School Road and Pennula Road Wawayanda: Echo Lake Road and McVeigh Road Woodbury: Hunter Street Cornwall-on-Hudson: Shore Road Harriman: North Main Street Village of Monroe: Rye Hill Road Walden: Wooster Grove Park Washingtonville: Route 94, Cardinal Drive and Patricia Lane Palisades Parkway: Exit 15 North, and Exit 19 North Tuxedo: County Route 106 Tuxedo: East Main Street Bridge Diana said the county’s Emergency Operations Center is “open and staffed, closely monitoring the situation and working with local governments.
