Employees of McDonald’s on Route 17M in Monroe were successful in their quest to raise money to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities’ recent “Give a Hand” fund raiser. While the goal was to sell 1,500 $1 “hands,” placed throughout the restaurant for all to see, the crew actually sold 1,754 hands, far exceeding their expectations. Every time “a hand” was sold, the crew used these oversized “clappers” to announce the purchase to restaurant patrons. Gathering to celebrate their achievement are some of the evening/night crew, in the first row and from the left: Nikky Wachner and Katie Bompensiero. Second row: Ashley Davis and Melissa Fatato. Third row: Sharon Villmann, Frank Senerchia, Matt Kahlke and supervisor Marye Weis. The crew are all graduates or are still attending Monroe-Woodbury High School. They expressed their thanks to the community for supporting the “Give a Hand” fundraiser.
