Tom E. Pray

    Tom E. Pray of Central Valley passed away Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. He was 84 years old.
    The son of Charles E. and Marie B. Nyquist Pray, he was born April 25, 1933, in Rockville Centre.
    Tom was a member of Highland Mills United Methodist Church and Family of Faith Lutheran Church of Middletown.
    He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War.
    Tom was a songwriter and journalist, writing for the Times Herald-Record, the Sullivan Democrat, The Photo News, Senior Gazette, Washingtonville Post, Tri-State Gazette and other publications throughout the Hudson Valley.
    Survivors include his loving wife, Dorothy Pray, at home; his sons: Michael Pray and his wife Sandra of Penfield, Christopher Pray and his wife Melanie of Wallkill, Dennis Radigan of Phoenix, Arizona; his daughters: Emily Cooley and her husband Brent of Mammoth Lakes, California, Donnamarie Wallace and her husband Bob of Cape Coral, Florida; and his four grandchildren: Darwin, Noah, Maddy and Abby.
    He leaves, too, the extended family of all his dear friends. He loved each equally and well.
    Visitation was held Dec. 29 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home in Monroe.
    A Chapel Service was held Dec. 30.
    Interment followed in Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Goshen.
