Stanley W. Lowicki

    Stanley B. Lowicki of Brooklyn and Chester, a retired printer for 40 years, died Monday, March 19, 2012, at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn. He was 84.

    Stanley was born in Brooklyn. He was a Seaman Second Class on the US Fargo 69. He was a past commander of American Legion Post 1771.

    He truly enjoyed his time fishing.

    Stanley was a caring and devoted husband who was totally committed to making his wife happy each and every day of their lives together. Because of their devotion to each other, they shared 59 years of marriage and true friendship. Stanley was a loving father and grandfather and very proud of his grandchildren’s accomplishments.

    Survivors include his wife Angela and their children Christina and her husband Leo Pujdak of Brooklyn, Lorraine and her husband James Heuberger of Chester and Carol Shahim of Wesley Chapel, Fla. He is also survived by his brother Joseph of Jackson, N.J. Stanley’s grandchildren David, Mathew, Caitlin, Jeremy, Emily, Brianna and Alyssa survive him also, as well as several nieces and nephews.

    Stanley was predeceased by his brothers Chester and Henryck and his sisters, Helen, Anna, Loretta, Stephanie, Maryianna, Anastasia and Viola. He was also predeceased by his son, Steven, and his grandsons, Joshua and Daniel.

    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Daniel F. Pujdak Scholarship Fund at St. Francis Preparatory (sfponline.org) 6100 Francis Lewis Blvd., Fresh Meadows, New York, 11365. Daniel was Stanley’s grandson, who was a New York City firefighter who died in the line of duty.

    A funeral Mass was held March 23 in Sacred Heart Church, Monroe. Burial followed at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen.
