Sister Mildred Scrivano

    Sister Mildred Scrivano, CSAC, a member of the Sisters of the Catholic Apostolate (Pallottines) died Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, at Queen of Apostles Convent in Monroe. Sister Mildred was 90 years old.
    Fighting a long battle with Parkinson’s disease, with some good and some bad days, Sister Mildred always had a smile on her face.
    Born June 14, 1928, in New York, she was the daughter of Charles and Carmela Fasanelli Scrivano, and sister of Santina Lentini and Mary Scrivano.
    She began her religious journey at the age of fifteen. Earning her Master’s Degree at Richmond, she served her community and the people of God as a teacher and principal.
    Sister Mildred served as a Religious for 74 years.
    “Thank you, God, for sending us Sister Mildred, who had a great love for the community she served well for many years," said Sr. Angela Marie Verdi CSAC. "We love you and yes, we will miss you. Thank you for being a part of our lives.”
    Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4, at Queen of Apostles Convent in Monroe.
    A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Nov. 5, at 11 a.m. at Queen of Apostles Chapel, 98 Harriman Heights Road, Monroe.
    Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Monroe.
    May she rest in peace.
