Rueben S. DeFreese

    Rueben S. DeFreese of Washingtonville passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. He was 52 and had been a resident of the area for 42 years.

    Son of Margaret Hup DeFreese and the late Rueben DeFreese, he was born Nov. 20, 1959, in Ridgewood, N.J.

    Rueben was a truck driver with Air Products of New Windsor.

    Survivors include his wife Deborah DeFreese of Washingtonville; his son Rueben DeFreese and his companion Caroline of Napanoch; his daughter Danielle DeFreese of Washingtonville; his mother Margaret DeFreese of Washingtonville; his sisters Doris Felter of Latta, S.C., and Paula DeFreese of Salisbury Mills; his grandsons Rueben and Zachary; and several nieces and nephews.

    Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe.

    A grave side funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Chester Cemetery.

    Memorial donations may be made to your local food pantry.
