Rose G. Leirer of Monroe passed away on April 11, 2025, at Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center in Campbell Hall. She was 80 years old.

The daughter of William and Philomenia (Esposito) Miller, she was born on October 25, 1944, in Brooklyn.

Above all, Rose was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose love for family was the center of her world.

Whether preparing a warm meal, offering a listening ear, retiring in order to help care for her grandchildren or simply being present, Rose created a home filled with comfort and support.

She found joy in ceramics and listening to music.

Rose was a bookkeeper for S.O.S. Fuel Oil Company in Tuxedo.

She was a volunteer at the Methodist Church Food Pantry and a member of the Senior Center.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Michele Thompson of Wurtsboro and Stacey Orriss of Union, N.J. Rose will be missed by grandchildren: Jordan, Kyle, Mackenzie, Matthew and Zachary; and great-grandchildren Dakota and Oliver.

She is also survived by her brother John Miller of Long Island and son-in-law George Thompson of Washingtonville.

In addition to her parents, Rose was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph, her son Brian, brother Julian Miller and sister Lucia Florio.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 21, at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe.

Funeral Service will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Seamanville Cemetery in Monroe.
