Ronald I. Frankel

Ronald I. Frankel, a longtime resident of Central Valley, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. He was 79 years old.
The son of James H. and Dorothy Soell, he was born Sept. 22, 1938, in Manhattan.
Ronald was a retired sergeant with the N.Y.P.D., his last command was with the 40th Precinct in the Bronx.
He was a member of the Sergeant Benevolent Association, the Central Valley United Methodist Church and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
Survivors include his loving daughters: Lisa Phelan and her husband Michael of Central Valley, and Jill Odynsky and her husband Joseph of Milford, Pa.; his brother Milton Frankel of Teaneck, N.J.; his sisters: Loretta Alonso of Bloomington, In., Carol Lake of Chester, Patty Polanco of Jersey City, N.J., and Dona Soell of Valley Cottage; seven grandchildren: Evan, Victoria, Carly, Troy, Jared, Ryan and Garrett; and several nieces and nephews.
Ronald was predeceased by his brothers James Frankel and Donald Frankel, who was Dona’s twin and sadly died at birth.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe.
A Chapel Service will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope.
