Robert S. Schock
Robert S. Schock, who lived in Washingtonville for 38 years before moving to Cornwall, died Wednesday, April 25, at St. Lukes Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. He was 83 years old.
Son of Herbert and Rose Schock, Bob was born in Brooklyn.
He married his loving wife Ann (Lee) Schock on April 26, 1952, in Brooklyn where they lived until moving to Washingtonville in 1969.
A veteran of the United State Air Force, Bob was retired from AT&T. An avid Yankee fan (he enjoyed screaming at the TV), Bob was also a past Grand Knight of the Lady of Lourdes chapter of the Knights of Columbus in Washingtonville, a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a former volunteer for the Country Kids Food Pantry in Washingtonville.
Bobs happiness was centered on his family and he enjoyed nothing more than being surrounded by any or all of them.
Survivors include his wife, Ann, at home; daughters Barbara Agostinoni and her husband Robert of Cairo, N.Y., Robin Seidman and her husband Alan of Cornwall and Annmarie Rubin and her husband Ken of Jupiter, Fla.; grandchildren Nicole Maggio and her husband Steve of Cairo, N.Y., Rob and Mike Agostinoni of Cairo, N.Y.; Mark Seidman of Portsmouth, R.I., and Adam Seidman of Cornwall and Carly, Hanna and Ben Rubin of Jupiter, Fla.; great-grandchildren Steven, Jenna and Rachel Maggio of Cairo, N.Y., sisters Helen Anderson and her husband Dennis of Ridge and Rose McGinn of Nesconset; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held April 30 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home in Monroe, with the Rev. Jeffrey Maurer and Rabbi Larry Freedman officiating.
Interment followed in Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Goshen.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bobs name may be made to the food pantry of your choice; the American Heart Association or St. Lukes Cornwall Hospital.
