Philip J. Caiazza
Philip J. Caiazza passed away Monday, April 4, 2016, at his home in Harriman. He was 79 years old.
Son of Frederick and Esther Aniello Caiazza, he was born Dec. 17, 1936, in New York City.
Philip was a retired financial accountant with Chase Manhattan Bank of New York. He was a member of St. Anastasia Church of Harriman and a 4th Degree Knight with Knights of Columbus Council #2079 of Monroe.
He also was the director of the Lakes Regionaires Drum and Bugle Corps Association.
Philip was a Cub Master for the Scouts and an accomplished percussionist, who studied at Carnagie Hall.
Philip was a trustee and deputy mayor of Harriman. He also served 18 years ads Harriman Village Justice.
Survivors include his wife, Maria L. DiMaggio Caiazza, at home; his sons: Frederick and his wife Kirre of Greenville, Dominic and his wife Kitty of Fair Lawn, N.J., and Thomas and his wife Lisa of Monroe; his sister, Joann Caiazza of the Bronx; his grandchildren Philip, David, Michael, Jonathan, Nick and Courtney; and his great grandchild, D’Anthony.
Philip was predeceased by his sister Rosalie Sarno.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, April 8, at St. Anastasia Parish Church, Route 17M, Harriman.
Interment will follow in St. Anastasia Cemetery.
