Nora M. Gray of Middletown entered peacefully into rest Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2023, at Phelps Memorial Hospital of Sleepy Hollow. She was 80 years old.
Nora was born Jan. 16, 1943, in the Bronx. She was the daughter of the Joseph and Helen (Coyne) Brooks.
Prior to retirement, she was employed by Monroe-Woodbury School District as a Senior Bookkeeper in the Finance Department.
Nora is survived her children: Laura Gray and partner Donna Cary, Helen Lynch, Michael Gray and wife Alison and Mary Shanly and husband Brian; her grandchildren: Joshua, Nora, Grace, Declan, Niamh, Teagan, Niall and Fiona.
She was predeceased by her husband Michael J. Gray Sr., her son Joseph Gray and grandson Finnegan John Gray.
Visitation was held Aug. 20 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 S. Church St., Goshen.
A Funeral Mass was held Aug. 21 at St. Joseph’s Church, 149 Cottage St., Middletown.
Entombment followed in St. Joseph’s Cemetery Mausoleum in Middletown.
