Martin Haber
Martin Haber of Monroe passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. He was 87.
Son of Leo and Rose Hagle Haber, he was born Oct. 29, 1924, in New York City. Martin was the widower of Debra S. Erlich Haber.
In addition to retiring as a vice president in the garment industry, he was a stay-at-home Dad and tutored troubled children. He was an award-winning skeet shooter and a private pilot as well as a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during World War II.
Survivors include his children: Jon Haber of Riverdale, Jennifer R. Haber of Ithaca and Michelle L. Haber of Raleigh, N.C. In addition to his wife Debra Haber, he was predeceased by his brother Herbert Haber.
Funeral services were held March 24; cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope.
