Marie Carcaterra

    Marie Carcaterra of Highland Mills passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019. She was 98.
    Marie was born on Oct. 23, 1920, in New York City. She was the daughter of Nicola DiMarzio and Rosina Santamero.
    She is survived by her daughter Roni Leonardi (Joe) of Highland Mills and by five grandchildren: Krista (Joe), Joe (Mattea), Jessica, Danny (Celeste) and Vincent (Leslie). Marie is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
    Marie was pre-deceased by her husband Daniel, and their son Steven Carcaterra.
    Visitation was held April 30 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Avenue, Monroe.
    A Funeral Mass was celebrated May 1 at St. Patrick’s Church, 448 Route 32, Highland Mills.
    Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
