Lori Anne Soutar

Lori Anne Soutar of Middletown passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. She was 56 years old.
Daughter of Antonia J. Cincotta Soutar and James A. Soutar Sr., she was born May 6, 1962, in Nyack.
Her family's statement reads: “Lori was our family historian - we could always count on her sharp memory. She was a strong and independent woman despite her challenges, and took great care of her rescue dogs, Peppe and Abby, as if they were her own children. Lori loved the beach, too, whether in St. Augustine, Florida, or Top Sail, North Carolina. She found peace at the beach and brought that peace into her home surrounding herself in beach décor. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Robert Dinsmore for his care of our beloved Lori.”
Survivors include her loving mother Antonia J. Soutar of Middletown; her brothers, who unconditionally loved and cared for her: James A. Soutar Jr. of Middletown and Dean R. Soutar and his wife Patricia of Circleville; and her nieces and nephews: James III, Erica, Alexandra and DeanFrancis.
Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middletown.
Memorial Visitation will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 515 Route 32, Highland Mills.
A Memorial Service will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
Interment will follow in the Cemetery of The Highlands in Highland Mills.
