John Fernez

John Fernez passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019, at home in Monroe. He was 89 years old.
The son of Umberto and Rose Marino Fernez, he was born Nov. 26, 1929, in the Bronx.
John was an actuary for the State of New York in Manhattan.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his sons John Fernez Jr. and his wife Virginia of Connecticut, Dennis and his wife Lori of Babylon, Raymond and his wife Michelle of Sugar Loaf and Richard and his wife JoAnn of Monroe; his daughters Lisa Fernez of Nyack and Linda Fernez of Woodridge, N.J.; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his wife, Helen.
Visitation was held June 19 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home in Monroe.
A Funeral Service will be held June 20 in the funeral home officiated by the Rev. Paul Thompson.
Interment followed at Seamanville Cemetery in Monroe.
