Habib S. Hassari

Habib S. Hassari of Washingtonville passed away Monday, August 15, 2016, at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. He was 87 years old.
The son of Ali Hassari and Omekolsum Sheikholeslami Hassari, he was born Jan. 28, 1929, in Tabriz, Iran.
Habib was an Iranian Air Force retiree.
Survivors include his wife, Kobra Sadiegh Hassari, at home; his sons: Fred “Farid” Hesari and his wife Donna of Highland Mills, Farshid Hessari and his wife Soudabeh of Highland Mills and Vahid Hessari and his wife Jenus of Wappingers Falls; his daughter Farnosh Khorassani and her husband Mohammad of Central Valley; his beautiful granddaughters: Venus, Negeen, Nicole, Michelle, Ashley, Emma, Lily and Ella; and his two great grandchildren: Michael and Genevieve.
A graveside service was held Aug. 18 in the Cemetery of The Highlands in Highland Mills.
