Gertrude C. Dimke

Gertrude C. Dimke, affectionately known as “Trudy,” passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Glen Arden in Goshen. Trudy was 92 years old.
She was the daughter of Konrad and Lena Schmidt Salzmann, and was born June 7, 1924, in Heidelberg, Germany.
Trudy was the widow of Raymond F. Dimke of Monroe, NY.
She is survived by daughters Barbara G. Degan of Middletown and Frances M. Peachey-Morgan and her husband Jack of Monroe; her brothers Heinz Salzmann and his wife Helena and Rudy Salzmann of Heidelberg, Germany; and her sister Hildegard Daniels of Mobile, Alabama.
Also affectionately known as "Oma," Trudy is survived by her four grandchildren: Kate Degan Smith of Petaluma, California and her husband Nick, Trevor Peachey of Jeffersonville and his wife Shelley, Edward Degan of Goshen and his wife Tara, and Patrick Degan of Mar Vista, California and his wife Kaitrin. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren: Liam, Maeve, Harry, Edward and Madeline Degan of Goshen and Trevor, Sean, Ryan and Grace Peachey of Jeffersonville.
Visitation was held May 10 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home in Monroe.
A Funeral Service took place May 11 in the funeral home followed by Interment in St. Columba Cemetery in Chester.
