Edward T. Russell

Edward T. Russell of Monroe died peacefully with his children at his side on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. He was 83 years of age.
He was born in May 1935 in Yonkers, the son of Edward and Catherine Russell.
Edward was a 40-year resident of Monroe and was the owner of Anne's Sub-17 for 25 years.
He was also the former Vice President of Loans at Manufacturers Hanover Bank in New York City.
Edward was a United States Marine Corps veteran.
He also was an avid bowler, a lifelong Yankee and Giants fan and a former lifeguard at Lake Tiorati.
He loved his children and his grandchildren more than life itself and was one of the most gentle men you could ever meet.
He is survived by Anne Russell of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; David Russell and Deanna Pawlak of Monroe; Anthony Russell and his wife Keiko of Monroe; Karen Zimmerman and her husband Teddy of Mahopac; Kim Santilli and her husband Nick of Yonkers; Kathy Horner and her husband Eddie of Mahopac; and Eddie Russell Jr. of Staten Island; As well as eight grandchildren: Kaya, Lucca, Kiara, Brody, Lenny, Katie, Brian and Eddie; and great-grandchildren Derrick and Melissa.
Visitation was held Dec. 12 at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc. in Monroe.
A Funeral Mass was held Dec. 13 at St. Columba R.C. Church in Chester.
Burial followed at Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen.
