Dorothy J. Cacchioli of Highland Mills passed away on April 14, 2025, at The Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh. She was 83 years old.
The daughter of William and Leah (Oak) Hoffman, she was born in the Bronx on Jan. 26, 1942.
Dorothy was the owner of Peppy & Eddy’s Restaurant in Highland Mills.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: James Guglielmo and his wife Kelly, Christine Guglielmo, Celeste Carcaterra and her husband Danny, and stepchildren Barbara Duckworth and her husband Joe, and John Cacchioli and his wife Debra. She is further survived by her sister Leelee Dillimuth; her grandchildren: Adam, Vanessa, Rebecca, Gianna, James, Victoria, Mason, and Marco; and her great-grandchildren: Jonah, Sebastian, Alexa and AJ.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was also predeceased by her husband Joseph “Peppy” Cacchioli; her brothers Aurther Hoffman and William Hoffman; and her sisters Barbara Ward and Kathleen Leahy.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. with a Chapel Service beginning at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe.
Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope, NY.
