Arthur Croughan
Arthur A. Croughan of Chester, a retired power plant operator, died Thursday, Feb. 23,, at home, surrounded by his children. He was 71 and had been a resident of the area for 40 years.
The son of Arthur and Mary Croughan, he was born Dec. 20, 1940, in the Bronx.
Artie was an active parishioner of St. Columba R.C. Church, former member of Chester School Board, former president of Chester Volunteer Ambulance Corps, former Little League Coach and past president of Chester Boy Scouts.
Artie served his country in the United States Navy.
The family would like to personally thank Dr. John Ferguson and his staff for their care and special attention they always gave to our father.
Artie was predeceased by his beloved wife, Margaret M. Croughan. He started his journey to being reunited with her.
He is survived by his daughter Colleen M. Faust and her husband Allen of Bloomingburg and his son Richard J. Croughan and his wife Kathleen of Hamptonburg. His grandchildren: Allen, Julianna, Kaylee and Ava also survive him, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Feb. 27 in St. Columba R.C. Church in Chester.
A private interment service followed.
