Anna B. Scaturro
Anna B. Scaturro passed away peacefully at Glen Arden Healthcare Center in Goshen on Monday, May 28, 2012, after a long, courageous battle with Parkinsons Disease. She was 86 years old.
Anna was born Jan. 11, 1926, in Brooklyn to Anna and Frank Eytzinger.
Anna, better known as Anne by family and friends, always loved to have friends and family come to her home. She enjoyed cooking and baking for others, especially during the holidays, and no one ever left without food or cookies.
She was also a true patriot, who loved her country and was very proud to be an American.
Her family would like to thank all of the staff at the Glen Arden Healthcare Center for taking such good and loving care of Anna. We dont know what we would have done without them.
Anna is survived by her husband of 62 wonderful years, Joseph Scaturro, at home, who loved her very much. She was the loving mother of Joann McMonagle and her husband Jimmy of Monroe; granddaughters Lisa and Michelle McMonagle, both of Monroe and who adored their grandmother; her sister-in-law Florence Foreman, niece Carol Queirolo and nephews Kenneth Foreman, and Frank and George Eytzinger.
Anna was predeceased by her brother Frank and her sister Rosanna Eytzinger.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, May 31, at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 1, at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Still Road, Monroe. Interment will follow in Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Goshen.
