Andrew F. Szot

Andrew F. Szot, a lifelong resident of the area, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at his home in Monroe. Andrew was 25 years old.

Son of Kathy A. Tambone Szot and Frederick J. Szot Jr., he was born Jan. 24, 1987, in Goshen.

Andrew was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of the Sons of American Legion Post #488 in Monroe. He was a graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School in Central Valley and Universal Technical Institute in Exten, Pa..

Survivors include his parents Kathy A. and Frederick J. Szot Jr. of Monroe; his sister Amanda M. Szot of Monroe; his paternal grandparents Joan V. and Fred Boniello of Highland; his maternal grandmother Margaret Tambone of Nanuet; his maternal grandfather Alphonse Tambone of Cape Coral, Fla.; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Andrew was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Frederick J. Szot Sr.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, Jan. 3, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Still Road, Monroe. Interment will follow in Seamanville Cemetery in Monroe.
