Local students named to Deans list

    Colleges have begun sending dispatches about the local students who have the dean's list for the fall 2005 semester. The threshold for qualifying for the list varies from college to college, but typically, a student needs to have a grade point of average of at least 3.0 to qualify. Here's a rundown of the notices that reached The Photo News and Warwick Advertiser in the past week: • Kristen D. Romano, the daughter of Deborah and Christopher Romano of Monroe, has been named to the dean's list at Hamilton College in Clinton. Romano, a graduate of Monroe-Woodbury Senior High, is a senior majoring in geology. • Daniel B. Dunn of Warwick has made the dean's list at Coastal Carolina University, Conway, S.C. • The following students made the dean's list at the State University of New York College at Cortland: Amanda Marie Capelli, Florida; Matthew Ryan Carcaterra, Highland Mills; Amanda Michelle Celic, Highland Mills; Ashley Nicole Dunnigan, Goshen; Jennifer Marie Fusik, Monroe; Laura Jean Greaney, Monroe; Colleen A. Herlihy, Florida; Suzanne E. Luis, New Hampton; Diana Oehm, Monroe; Rachael Elizabeth Onorevole, Monroe; Brittany Laine Schenk, Sugar Loaf; Tameka Icia Stephenson, Florida; Jenna Marie Trotta, Washingtonville; Kerri Kathleen Wright, Warwick. • Angela Church of Monroe has made the dean's list at Syracuse University's Martin J. Whitman School of Management. Church is a sophomore majoring in marketing management and information management and technology. • Lauren Solomon of Warwick has made the dean's list at Syracuse University's Martin J. Whitman School of Management. Solomon is a sophomore majoring in general management. • Thomas Pane of Monroe, a freshman majoring in computer engineering, has been named to the dean's list at Syracuse University L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science. • Linita Shannon of Florida, a sophomore majoring in political science and public relations, has been named to the dean's list at the College of Arts and Sciences at Syracuse University. • Heather Knapp of Warwick, a senior majoring in anthropology, has been named to the dean's list at the College of Arts and Sciences at Syracuse University. • April Quigley of Warwick, a sophomore majoring in psychology, has been named to the dean's list at the College of Arts and Sciences at Syracuse University. • Steven M. DeRosa of Monroe has been named to the dean's list at SUNY Orange. Steven is a 2002 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School. His major is in Business Marketing and a May graduation is anticipated. • The following students have been named to the dean's list at the College of Saint Rose in Albany: Debra Mulholland of Monroe; Kaylin Ruffino of Monroe; Kristin Torre of Monroe; Kerilee Memmer of Washingtonville; and Krystal Stegenga of Washingtonville. • Brianna Bundenthal of Warwick and the daughter of Bill and Carol Bundenthal was named to the dean's list at Fairfield University. She is majoring in English and plans a career in journalism. She is a graduate of Warwick Valley High School. • The following students have been named to the dean's list at Northeastern University in Boston: Britten Cosgrove of Chester, majoring in criminal justice; Elyse Merlo of Chester, majoring in English; Michelle Clark of Monroe, majoring in marketing; Christa Di Meglio of Monroe, majoring in liberal arts; and Robert Hankinson of Monroe, majoring in journalism. • Brian Leary, son of Barbara and Greg Leary of Warwick, has been named to the dean's list at Plattsburgh State University. He is a senior currently student teaching second grade at Northern Adirondack Elementary School.
