    Kip Lorenzen of Middletown died unexpectedly on Feb. 5, 2012, in Peekskill. He was 50.

    Son of Kenneth and Mary Jane (Waldron) Lorenzen, he was born on Jan. 29, 1962, in Tuxedo.

    Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Kitty Stitt-Lorenzen of Middletown; children, Timothy and Katie of Middletown; brothers, Keith Lorenzen of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Kenneth (Robyn) Lorenzen of Goshen, Michael (Toni) Keglovitz of Gardiner, and Andrew Keglovitz (Lisa) of Chester; sisters, Kim Lorenzen of Harriman and Dr. Lisa Keglovitz of Allentown, Pa.; father, Kenneth Lorenzen Sr. of Monroe; adoptive parents, Frank and Helen Keglovitz of Chester; father-in-law, John V. K. Stitt of Monroe; sister-in-law, Lisa Stitt of Middletown; brother and sister-in-law, John and Lisa Stitt of Jericho, Vt.; and nieces and nephews.

    He was predeceased by his mother, Mary Jane Waldron Lorenzen, and mother-in-law, Unni Lunde Stitt.

    He was an avid hunter and fisherman, master carpenter, and family man. He was employed as a Nuclear Security Officer at Indian Point Energy Center in Buchanan and was a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America.

    Visitation was held at Smith, Seaman and Quackenbush Funeral Home in Monroe on Feb. 10. A service was held at the funeral home on Feb. 11 with the Rev. Robert Hewitt officiating.
