Hymns fill the air as parishioners celebrate pastor's anniversary

Highland Mills - Members of the Highland Mills United Methodist Church recently joined with their sister church, Mountainville UMC, for a good old-fashioned hymn sing and ice cream social. The gathering was one of the numerous activities which have filled the summer in both churches and this one had an extra joyous meaning. For the Highland Mills church, it was to celebrate the first anniversary of the Rev. Darlene E.R. Resling as pastor. The Highland Mills UMC Sunday Worship service is held each week at 9:15 a.m. and all are welcome. The church is known as “The Church with the Sign” and is located on Route 32 at Ridge Road.
