Dean’s list Thomas Knuth of Warwick has been named to the dean’s list at Paul Smith’s College for the fall 2010 semester. Knuth, who is majoring in forestry, is enrolled in the college’s School of Forestry and Natural Resources and earned a semester average of 3.3 or higher to receive this distinction. Wesley Galbraith, of Warwick, a first-year student at Gettysburg College, has been placed on the deans’ honor list for outstanding academic achievement in the fall 2010. Students with a quality point average of 3.60 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for a semester’s work are placed on the College’s Deans’ Honor List. Sara Nicole Finley of the Village of Florida has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Appalachian State University in Boone, N. C. Her grade point average for the semester was 3.75 on a 4.0 scale. Sara also has been invited to the university’s Honors College, an educational enhancement program of small conversation-based, interdisciplinary courses that recognize a student’s academic achievement while also providing mentoring and course advising. Matthew Stranski of Warwick has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. To qualify, a student must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or better for the semester. Matthew is a 2007 graduate of Warwick Valley High School. Jesse Fuca of Warwick has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2010 semester at Harpur College of Arts & Sciences at Binghamton University. To qualify, students must earned a minimum grade point average of 3.5 for 12 or more graded credits. Jesse’s GPA was 3.8. Jesse is majoring in English. He is on the men’s track and field team and has been team captain for two years. He is the son of Joy and John Fuca. Hannah Benjamin of Pine Island has been named to the fall 2010 dean’s list at Buffalo State College. To qualify, students must earn a minimum term GPA of 3.5 and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours Hannah, a major in arts and humanities, is the daughter of Bob and Theresa Benjamin and a graduate of Warwick Valley High School. Juliane Drevitson was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2010 semester at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, with a GPA of 3.93. Juliane, a 2010 graduate of Warwick Valley High School, is pursuing a degree in nutrition. Dane Drevitson was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2010 semester at U Mass Dartmouth, with a GPA of 3.75. Dane, a 2007 graduate of Warwick Valley High School, is majoring in psychology. Steven E. Dixon of Warwick was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Binghamton University. He is a freshman whose major is archeology.
