A group of area residents have received academic honors from Berkeley College. Named to its president list were: Lorraine Betancourt of Monroe and Patricia Salerno of Chester. Named to the dean’s list were: Michael Balles of Washingtonville; Iryna Danchak and Justin Fernandez of Monroe; and Lauren Perraglia of Harriman. Douglas Robert Anders of Chester has earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Excelsior College, in Albany. Michele Wood of Goshen is among the 45 students being honored by SUNY Oneonta as the college’s “Best and Brightest” for the fall 2010 semester. The “Best and Brightest” program acknowledges students for outstanding performance in academic work, community involvement, research or special projects.
