The West Point Band’s newest audio engineer, Staff Sgt. Brandie Lane, received a Grammy for “Best Engineered Album - Classical” category. The album is “Quincy Porter: Complete Viola Works.” Prior to joining the Army last July, Lane was the head audio engineer at Sono Luminus, a record label in Virginia, which specializes in classical and jazz music. These albums were completed during her time there. Lane also has engineering credits on the 2008 Grammy nominated album, “Ronn McFarlane: Indigo Road,” which was in the “Classical Crossover” category.
