WARWICK — The Amity Gallery will host the play about the life and times of the civil rights activist W.E.B DuBois this Saturday, Sept. 30, at 8 p.m.
The play was written and is directed by Alexa Kelly and stars Brian Richardson as William Edwards Berghardt DuBois, who also was an advocate for women's rights, the need for education and the need for peace.
"The play entertains and enthralls as it compels the viewer to travel the near 100 year journey about the life and times of DuBois (1868-1963)," reads the gallery's press release announcing the performance. "The audience is brought to laughter and tears and introduced to a man who broke all boundaries."
The Amity Gallery is located at 110 Newport Bridge Road in Warwick.
The suggested donation is $15.
