Watch Jermaine Paul’s quest to become ‘The Voice’ continue this Monday

LOS ANGELES — Harriman resident Jermaine Paul will look to wow viewers with the power of his voice when he appears on Monday, April 16, in the second round of live competition on the NBC hit reality show “The Voice.”

Paul has been staying in Los Angeles prior to his live performance his April 2. The next day, he and millions of nationwide viewers learned Paul earned enough viewer votes to advance to the next round of live competition.

Paul sang Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer” that night but said he wasn’t able to reveal his song selection for April 16.

Last Monday’s show and Tuesday’s results show featured singers from Team Adam Levine and Team Cee Lo Green. Those nights, Paul and his team members had a chance to watch their competition as they continued their prepping.

Paul and his three Team Blake Shelton members will compete for their own survival against Team Christina Aguilera, with the results show on Tuesday, April 17, revealing just who will continue forward in the reality show.

Paul said his family would be returning to Los Angeles to cheer him on during the live broadcast. He has described preparations and rehearsals as grueling, made survivable only through the support of his family and his fans from the Monroe, Harriman, Central Valley and Highland Mills areas as well as his hometown of Spring Valley in Rockland County.

He also said he remains grateful for everyone’s votes and asked for their continuing voting support and iTunes purchases.

The show airs locally on WNBC/Channel 4 at 8 p.m. on Monday; with the results show airing at 9 p.m. on Tuesday.
