Middletown — Celebrating the 60th anniversary of Orange County Community College, six bands will play two evenings of jazz — Latin, cool, eclectic, smooth, vocal and big band — on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 19 and 20. All performances take place on the stage of Orange Hall Theatre. Orange Hall, located at the corner of Wawayanda and Grandview Avenues, in Middletown. In addition, this weekend of jazz is dedicated to the late Dr. Marvin K. Feman, originator of the college’s Music Department, who played trumpet in several area jazz bands. His daughter, Holly Harris, a blues and jazz radio show host on the Boston airwaves for over 25 years, will emcee the two-evening event. Tickets for the general public are $20 per night or $35 for a two-day package. For more information visit www.sunyorange.edu/cultural affairs or call 341-4891.
