The 2021 Tuxedo Art and Music announces the 2021 Tuxedo Plein Air, June 16-20. This premier event is designed to discover and celebrate the beauty and spirit of Tuxedo’s historic town and parklands.
Artists will have the opportunity to capture inspiring vistas and landmarks that have long defined this iconic region. Some of the many scenic opportunities awaiting artistic interpretation include beautiful hidden landscapes in Sterling Forest, Harriman Park and historic architectural landmarks throughout Tuxedo.
Tuxedo is the host to more than 400,000 guests per year, visiting the Sterling Forest Visitor Center, the Renaissance Festival and Harriman State Park. Many pass through Tuxedo, unaware of the many historic and scenic sites Tuxedo has to offer.
Guided by a virtual map, artists, residents and art and nature lovers can create their own adventure throughout the town and discover and explore.
Painting will take place from Wednesday, June 16, culminating in a “Meet The Artist” Exhibit and Reception at the Tuxedo Train Station on Friday, June 18. Artists’ work will remain on display and for sale during the Farmer’s Market and throughout the weekend.
This event is open to all Plein Air artists throughout the Hudson Valley. Limited space is available and participants are on a first-come basis.
