The Wallkill River School of Art will hold an opening reception and live auction of local “plein air” works of art to benefit the art school and the Orange County Land Trust, tomorrow, Nov. 6 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Wallkill River School of Art Gallery in Montgomery. Paintings, like “Stewart-Bacarella Farm” (Greenville) pastel by Shawn Dell Joyce, are among those painted outdoors throughout the summer on protected farmland and other lands conserved by the Orange County Land Trust. These paintings are now being offered for auction to benefit the land trust to help the trust continue to preserve farmland, wildlife habitats and other natural areas in Orange County.
