The work of Monroe artist will be on display at SUNY Orange


MIDDLETOWN The Skys the Limit, an exhibit of the pastels and oils by Mary Mugele Sealfon, will be on view in Orange Hall Gallery Loft on the Middletown campus of SUNY Orange from May 11 through June 19.
Sealfon, of Monroe, has won numerous awards, been in hundreds of groups shows and has had many solo shows. This exhibit highlights many of her sky paintings. She is well-known for her plein air paintings which depict river and seascapes, landscapes and farm scenes. She also regularly paints portraits and still lifes.
She will host her own reception which will go on simultaneously with the Middletown Art Group (MAG) reception on Sunday, May 20, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Sealfon is a past president of MAG, and she presently teaches art at SUNY Orange and the Wallkill River School. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in painting from University of California at Santa Barbara and a masters of art degree in printmaking from NYU.
