‘The Downside of Land Disturbance'

    NEW WINSOR-Environmental writer Wayne Hall will be guest speaker at the next meeting of the Stewart Park and Reserve Coalition (SPARC) at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 23, at the Community Room of the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. His program is titled "Uninvited Guests" (Or the Downside of Land Disturbance). Hall has been a journalist for 40 years, mostly with The Times Herald Record. He writes a regular column on people and issues on the environment in the Mid-Hudson. He was born in Mineola, Long Island, to a family with Southern roots, but has lived in the Mid-Hudson for most of his life. He's been a birder since age 13 and now collects.
