Environmental Lecture, Oct. 25 SUNY Orange will host Dr. Francis Groeters, owner of Catskill Native Nursery in Kerhonkson, for an environmental lecture entitled “The Winter Garden: Beauty and Nourishment” at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 25 in Orange Hall Gallery. Admissions Open House, Oct. 27 SUNY Orange will hold its annual Fall Admissions Open House from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 27 at the George F. Shepard Student Center, 115 South St., Middletown. College staff and faculty will be available to discuss SUNY Orange’s academic programs, career possibilities, admission requirements, financial aid, scholarship information and extra curricular activities. Financial Aid Workshop, Oct. 27 SUNY Orange will hold a financial aid workshop at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27 in Room 215 of Harriman Hall, 115 South St., Middletown. Workshops are open to all prospective college students, not only those interested in attending SUNY Orange. Symphonic Band Concert, Oct. 30 (Paramount Theatre) The SUNY Orange Symphonic Band will perform a concert entitled “The Soul of Asia” at 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 30 in Middletown’s Paramount Theatre, 17 South St. Music inspired by or written by composers from Asia will be featured. Admission is $5. SUNY Orange students and active duty military personnel will be admitted for free. For more information, call the Arts and Communication Department at 341-4787 or 341-4393. “Our Town,” Nov. 5-7, 12-14 The Apprentice Players of SUNY Orange will perform Thornton Wilder’s “Our Town” for six shows on the weekends of Nov. 5-7 and 12-14 in Orange Hall Theatre on the college’s Middletown campus. Shows on Nov. 5-6 and 12-13 will begin at 8 p.m. The performances of Nov. 7 and 14 go on at 3 p.m. Admission is $14, general admission; $10, senior citizens, faculty and alumni; $4, students; and free for active duty military personnel.
