SUGAR LOAF-Rachel Bertoni, Sugar Loaf resident and jewelry designer, appeared as a makeover guest on Good Morning America on May 17, 18, & 19th. Bertoni said she received the royal treatment -- a limo ride from Sugar Loaf into New York City, hotel accomodations for two nights, and special attention from other women professionals! The goal of the makeover was to remove 10 years from Rachel's looks. Rachel and another guest received contacts for their eyes, hair styling, coloring and cutting, teeth whitening and bonding, new outfits and more! They appeared on TV all three days. Day one as an introduction, day two for a progress report and day three was the grand unveiling. Unfortunately, day three was exempted locally by the 9-11 hearings. Rachel has the moments of fame on tape and will be sharing the experience with friends and family at an informal gathering soon. Many of her fellow Sugar Loaf shopkeepers felt Rachel didn't need a makeover. "She is beautiful inside and out," said one. Another added, "Stop by Bertoni Gallery in Sugar Loaf to say hello and congratulate Rachel on her makeover opportunity! She'll be happy to share more interesting details of her adventure."
