SPARC trail ride is May 3

SPARC is sponsoring its ninth annual Stewart State Forest Trail Ride on Sunday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to noon. Enjoy a horse ride on marked trails on the 7,000- acre Stewart lands. Riders can choose long three-hour ride or a short, easier one hour ride, after registering at the north Ridge Rd. parking area. Linda and Dave Denman of Denman Farms are again donating their wagon and mules for a two-house wagon at 11 a.m. Donation is $15, $20 or $30 per rider, payable at the gate. The wagon ride is $30 per person; space is limited and must be reserved prior day. Bring a cushion. All proceeds benefit SPARC. For more information, call 496-6754 or564-3018.
