Popular animal finds a home

GOSHEN-Spike, a former resident at the Goshen Humane Society's shelter, wrote a letter to editor last month pleading for a home of his own. He had been profiled once before in The Chronicle and at least one other newspaper. He was even a guest on cable TV. Still, no one came forward to adopt him. But now, The Chronicle is delighted to report, Spike has at long last found a home. A shelter volunteer, Sarah Goldman, said he has been adopted by a nice young man who works at a garage. Spike will accompany him to work during the day, where he will no doubt meet many interesting people. "As you've probably gathered, Spike's quite the favorite among the shelter volunteers," wrote another volunteer, Gertrude Szyferblatt.
