Pan-Jammin’ tomorrow at The Book Garden

MONROE — The Book Garden, the “gently read” book shop operated by The Friends of the Monroe Free Library, will hold a free community “Island Dreams” concert featuring the Pan Jammers, tomorrow, Sept. 22, at 2 p.m. in front of the used book shop on Millpond Parkway.
The four-piece “Pan Jammers” group is comprised of Joe Flynn on drums; Ann Tiffe on bass pans; Art Hightower on the congas; and John Attucci as lead pan player.
Flynn said the group plans to entertain with a variety of song titles and will give listeners the feel of being on a Caribbean island.
“That’s our vibe,” Flynn added. “We want people to feel like they are on vacation.”
The Book Garden will offer crafts and giveaways for kids as well as light refreshments. Organizers encouraged concert goers to bring lawn chairs.
